John R. Buonomo, 56, the Middlesex register of probate, has been suspended without pay by the Supreme Judicial Court. John R. Buonomo was arrested and charged of robbing cash machines attached to photocopiers.

There were 18 counts of breaking in and stealing and 8 counts of theft under $250. John R. Buonomo pleaded not guilty and said he took money to buy office supplies for the court.
