John Floyd Thomas Jr, 72, a LA state insurance claims adjuster, has been named as a possible suspect in murders in 1970s – 1980s. Thomas was convicted of sexual assault twice. Police said Thomas is a suspect in 25 more cases.

The killer raped older women who lived alone. The victims were mostly strangled or suffocated to death. Back then, DNA profiling was not developed. Police are now trying to analyze DNA to solve the crimes.
