By Therese Lisieux on December 5th, 2008

John Davis, of Dracut, Massachusetts, was driving in the breakdown lane of a jammed Boston highway. Davis was rushing his pregnant wife, Jennifer Davis, to hospital. John Davis was stopped by a state trooper and he received a $100 ticket.

Moreover, John Davis and Jennifer Davis were made to wait 5 – 10 minutes for the trooper to finish writing a ticket to another car before he attended to them. Then, the trooper asked to see Jennifer Davis’ abdomen to prove her pregnancy. He persisted to write a ticket even after looking at Jennifer Davis. The Davis couple made it in plenty of time to the Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Ma., where their daughter was born 5 hours later.

John Davis wants to appeal on the $100 ticket. Davis wants to fight the ticket.
