Updated June 18 2009 – FBI said that DNA test results showed John Barnes could not have had the same mother as Steven Damman’s sister. Thus, Barnes could not be Steven Damman.

Jerry Damman said a man claimed he could be his long lost son, Steven Craig Damman. Steven Damman was 2 years old when he disappeared from his stroller outside a bakery in Long Island. That was more than half a century ago, in 1955, when the search for Steven Damman was unsuccessful. The man’s claims are being investigated and his DNA is being profiled to check against the Damman family’s DNA.

John Robert Barnes is the man who thinks he may be the long lost Steven Damman. Early DNA test results point to the possibility Barnes maybe Steven Damman.
