Brooke Wilberger and Maura Murray disappeared in 2004. In Brooke Wilberger’s missing person case, police have a suspect.

Brooke Wilberger, 19, a college student, went missing on May 24, 2004. She was at a Corvallis apartment car park. Brooke Wilberger was never found but has been presumed dead. Joel Courtney, 42, a suspect, has been charged with aggravated murder. If Joel Courtney gets convicted, he might face the death sentence. Brooke Wilberger’s family has told the prosecution lawyer that they would support a plea bargain for Joel Courtney if he helped to locate Brooke Wilberger’s remains.

The defence lawyer and the prosecution lawyer have a court hearing on September 5 to inform the judge on their progress. By then, it might be known if the case will end in a plea deal or go into trial in 2010.
