Joe Wurzelbacher is the son of Robert Wurzelbacher. Robert Wurzelbacher is the son-in-law of Charles Keating.

Charles Keating is the same Charles Keating of the Keating 5 Scandal. This was a big scandal for which John McCain was reprimanded by the United States Senate. The Keating 5 Scandal was investigated and McCain was reprimanded for his involvement in attempting to illegally influence government regulators. The US Senate decided that they didn’t have jurisdiction over McCain (who was in the House of Representatives) to give McCain penalties. John McCain’s political career was saved.

Joe Wurzelbacher, aka Joe the plumber, has a famous father, Robert Wurzelbacher. Robert Wurzelbacher was an executive of American Continental Corporation, the parent company of Charles Keating’s Lincoln Savings. American Continental Corporation is the bank which caused citizens to lose their life savings and cost U.S. taxpayers $3.4 billion. Robert Wurzelbacher pleaded guilty to three counts of misapplying $14 million and served 40 months in prison.

It seemed McCain omitted the background checks. Similarly, McCain and his aides omitted asking music artistes’ permission to use their songs during campaign rallies.
