Joe Satriani has filed a lawsuit on Thursday, Dec. 4. Satriani, a guitarist, is suing Coldplay. Satriani claimed that Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida” plagiarized one of his compositions. Joe Satriani filed a lawsuit on copyright infringement. Satriani, 52, claimed that Coldplay plagiarized large portions of his song, “If I Could Fly.”

Coldplay and Capitol Records have not commented on Satriani’s lawsuit. Joe Satriani is suing for cash compensation or a court order for Coldplay to stop using the song, “Viva La Vida.”
