Jodi Applegate was fired from WNYW/Ch 5’s “Good Day New York” in September 2008. Applegate was replaced by Rosanna Scotto and Greg Kelly. Applegate said she related to her readers and audience who were suffering from the economic downturn.

Applegate has started working one news show that airs nightly. Applegate anchors another two news shows at News 12 Long Island. Applegate did some short assignments for WABC Radio and WCBS Radio.

Applegate has a new job and with it, she had to relocate to Long Island. She left her old niche in Manhattan behind. Applegate’s location, working hours and residence changed. Most importantly, Applegate was happy with her current state in life. Jodi Applegate loves her new home, yard, fireplace, space and new job.
