Jodi Applegate: Jodi Applegate leaving Good Day New York
By Clarencia Cynrae on September 18th, 2008Jodi Applegate will leave Good Day New York (GDNY). Rosanna Scotto, will replace Applegate as the co-anchor.
GDNY is WNYW/5’s best known morning show. Now, Scotto and Greg Kelly will be co-hosts for GDNY. Rosanna Scotto used to present the news on 5 pm and 10 pm slots. Dari Alexander and Ernie Anastos will pair up and take over Scotto’s vacated spot.
There were rumors about the reason why Jodi Applegate leaving the show. One rumor was about Applegate’s contract expiring and the station did not renew it. The station has tactfully refused to comment and neither has Applegate. We’ll like to wish Jodi good luck on her next assignment.

Scotto’s abrasive style may be appropriate in the evenings, but I can’t stand to watch her when I just woke up. Kelly is just so bland. GDNY used to be my mornings’ guilty pleasure, but no more.

get rid of scotto in the am she is not a good intervier AND HER vicies goes right thought me put her back on the late news thats were she belongs get some one with a nice voice for the a m shows

roseann is not so good on the good day new york show she belongs to ernie anastos she works better with him the good day ny show should have being given to karen hepp she does a better job and sound good over the air if you donot get rid of riesann the shows rating will go down and with out a good rating no one will pick up the show and there will be no money to pay for the staff and the show will leave the air

well i quess they will do the same to rosann that they did to jodi after awhile get rid of her what working on gdny does it ,ean that you at on your last leg and oit the door every body who was on the show hads left or been let go some whats next for the show?

I’m glad she is gone! She grated on my nerves. GDNY has not been the same since Jim and Lynn have been gone. All the replacements have been terrible. It used to be a good morning show, in my opinion it is now one of the lesser quality broadcasts.

I totally agree!! Jim and Lynn were the best – with Dave at the weather…I miss those days. I didn’t mind watching Jodi but no more GDNY for me with Rosanna – can’t stand the voice!!!

Rosanna Scotto IS NY! She’s a great replacement-even though I thought Jodi did a great job too! I like Rosanna and Greg Kelly together-she definitely helped him come out of his shell!
