Updated November 5 – Why is Harlan Chamberlain using an electric wheelchair? Harlan Chamberlain belonged to the Winnebago American Indian Tribe. When Chamberlain was born, he had polio and was treated outside the reservation for his tribe.

Mr Chamberlain uses a motor scooter (electric wheelchair) named Humphrey as his transport. He used to work as a supervisor at the state prison until his retirement. Currently, Chamberlain works as a substitute teacher.

Joba Chamberlain’s parents are Harlan Chamberlain and Jackie Standley. Chamberlain and Standley were not married to each other. They split up when Joba was 18 months old.

May 4 2009 – Jacqueline Standley, Joba Chamberlain’s mother, was arrested. Standley was arrested on suspicion of selling methamphetamine to an undercover officer.

Standley was arrested at her apartment in Lincoln, Nebraska, on Saturday night, May 2.

Standley faces charges for selling 6 g of methamphetamine for $110 in February 2009. Standley was charged with delivery of a hazardous drug.

Joba Chamberlain DUI: Joba Chamberlain DUI (video)

Joba Chamberlain, New York Yankees pitcher, was arrested in Lincoln, Nebraska, on October 18. Chamberlain supposedly was driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and had an open container of alcohol in his car.

Jason Zillo, the New York Yankees spokesman, refused to comment on Joba Chamberlain. Lancaster County Attorney’s Office will determine the formal charges to be filed against Chamberlain on Oct. 20.

Joba Chamberlain was totally relaxed and cracked jokes when the officer stopped him for suspected DUI.

Chamberlain pleaded guilty to drunk driving last week. Chamberlain received a 60 day license suspension, and nine months of probation.
