Joan K Rowling, better known as JK Rowling, has donated one million pounds (£1 million) to Britain’s Labor Party. JK Rowling donated USD 1.8 million because she opposed the Conservative party’s policy which discriminated against poor parents who tried to work for survival.

JK Rowling held her opinion that Prime Minister Gordon Brown reduced child poverty. JK Rowling believed that the Conservative party chief David Cameron was in favor of hurting single, working parents with his proposed tax changes. P.M. Brown thanked Rowling for her donation. P.M. Brown expressed his delight with her donation. It was well known that Brown faced many difficulties in his troubled Labor Party finances. JK Rowling has endorsed the Labor Party and might influence adults to follow suit. JK Rowling experienced her personal preference in terms of her experiences as a struggling single parent. The author of Harry Potter experienced hardship under the Conservative Party government when she was a lone, struggling parent.
