Jimmy Dean & Donna Dean’s home destroyed in fire (photos)
By Clarencia Cynrae on April 21st, 2009Jimmy Dean, a country singer, has lost his home in Virginia. Dean’s house in Virginia was consumed by a fire. Dean’s Grammy Award from 1962 was saved from the fire.
Jimmy Dean’s home fire may have started accidentally in the basement. Jimmy Dean and his wife, Donna Dean, escaped from the fire unhurt. Dean saved his personal belongings.
Three fire fighters were injured during the course of duty. The exact cause of fire was unknown.
The firefighters used the boat dock at nearby Osborne Landing to get water to spray on the fire. Firefighters took 2 and a half hours to extinguish the fire in the rural part of Virginia. The home’s interior was gutted.
