Jimmy Clausen, playing QB for Notre Dame, allegedly took a punch in his face on Sunday, November 22. Clausen and his camp, consisting of fellow ND team mates and his family members, were outside a restaurant in South Bend, when the incident took place.

Clausen was rumoured to be spotting a swollen eye after being punched. An angry fan of Notre Dame allegedly punched Clausen.

The motive was unclear but the fan had spoken to Clausen before the punch. Notre Dame had lost to Connecticut on Saturday, November 21. Clausen will not be benched because of his swollen eye.

Clausen did not file a police report.
