Jim Carroll, a poet and former basketball player, has died. Jim Carroll’s cause of death was a heart attack. Carroll was 60 when he died at home.

Jim Carroll was a basketball player in the 1960s. Carroll wrote a journal which was later published in 1978 as “The Basketball Diaries”. Carroll was a singer for some time before he decided he was better at writing poetry.

Jim Carroll left behind his brother Tom Carroll.
