Jill Greenberg, a hardcore Democrat, was asked by The Atlantic magazine to shoot a cover for John McCain. Jill Greenberg suspected The Atlantic did not check her background and political inclinations.

Jill Greenberg used her professional knowledge and skills to shoot some very unflattering pictures of McCain. Greenberg created background shadows that suggested McCain had a shadow that looked evil. Greenberg did not touch up McCain’s photos, although she did retouching for virtually everyone else. Greenberg wanted everyone to see McCain looking bad.
