Jessyca MullenbergJessyca Mullenberg was 13 when she was kidnapped in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Mullenberg was spending her weekend with her father, who was divorced from her mother, Monica Lukasavige.

Steven OliverSteven Oliver had sexually molested Jessyca for four years. He pretended to be a family friend. He taught at Jessyca’s school. His son was her classmate. He ran a writing club where children got together to write and play. He took advantage by getting time alone with Jessyca and abused her. He brain washed her into thinking she should not tell her parents or anybody about his abuse. Steven Oliver relocated his residences to be near Jessyca’s mother or her father.

Jessya MullenbergJessyca Mullenberg was kidnapped by her creative writing mentor, Steven Oliver. On Sept 16, 1995, Oliver lied to Mullenberg that they were going to see a publisher. Mullenberg fell asleep in his car and when she woke up, she was tied up and told she was being taken away.

Jessya MullenbergOliver changed Mullenberg’s appearance by cutting and dyeing her hair. Oliver proceeded to exert physical, mental and emotional stress on Mullenberg. She was held captive. Oliver used lies and beatings to bend and break her. Oliver raped and assaulted Mullenberg almost daily. After weeks, Mullenberg became totally disorientated.

Oliver’s employer recognized his face on the TV program, America’s Most Wanted. He called police and soon, Mullenberg was rescued. She had suffered 105 days being a kidnapped victim.

Steven Oliver was sentenced to 40 years in prison for his crimes.

Jessya MullenbergMullenberg is around 26 yeas old in 2009. She lives under a new name. She said she still struggled to cope with her experiences. She tries to heal and carry on with her life.

  1. I want to know where steven oliver is now? I hope they DIDN’T kill him yet! They need to let him ROT!!! Kill him when he’s due to be released!!!!!
