Jerry Lewis was in Australia for his stage show. A reporter asked Lewis to comment on cricket, the popular sport in Australia. Jerry Lewis responded with a reference to cricket as a “fag game” and mimed an effeminate motion of his arm swinging a bat. Did Jerry Lewis refer to a fag as a gay or a fag as a cigar?

If Australians were accredited with liking a fag game, then what was Lewis doing in Australia performing for fags? The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation and the Australian Coalition for Equality has asked for an apology.
