Jerry Buck Inman has been sentenced to death for the rape and murder of Tiffany Marie Souers. Souers, 20, a student of Clemson University, was found raped and murdered on May 26, 2006.

Souers was found dead in her off campus apartment. Souers was wearing only her bra and she was strangled by her bikini top.

Inman was caught a fortnight after Souers’ death. Inman was a registered sex offender. Inman has more rape and attempted rape charges in Alabama and Tennessee. These alleged crimes were committed before he killed Souers.

Inman asked his judge in South Carolina to pass the death sentence on him. Inman told his judge he was too violent to be rehabilitated in jail. Inman has apologized to Souers’ family.
