Jerri Gray, 49, of SC, has been arrested for neglecting her son’s health. Gray’s son weighs 555 pounds. Gray was on the lam in Maryland and she returned to South Carolina for her court arraignment.

The story started when Gray was ordered to be present in court for a hearing with the Department of Social Services in May. When Gray failed to show up, a warrant was issued for her arrest. The warrant was for a charge of violating a custody order.

Police found Gray and her son at a laudromat or laundry service in Baltimore, Maryland. Gary’s son has been placed in protective custody.
