Jennifer Colli: SMU & coach Rhonda Rompola sued
By Therese Lisieux on September 25th, 2008Jennifer Colli, a former student at SMU, has sued the school and its coach, Rhonda Rompola. Colli alleged that her scholarship was revoked because Colli complained about inappropriate questions and remarks on her sex life.

Colli claimed she was asked about gay relationships on the school team too. Jennifer Colli’s lawyer, Michael Kelly, said they think the SMU / Rhonda Rompola had retaliated after Colli complained about Rompola.
SMU has defended itself. The University claimed they did their investigations and will address the issues in court. Coach Rompola made a press release statement condemning Jennifer Colli’s lawsuit. Rompola accused Colli of using the media to try their case. Colli’s lawsuit was filed in Dallas. It sought $2 million in damages and $450,000 for her lawyer fees.
