Jen Schefft, 32, formerly a contestant on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, is engaged! Jen Schefft is engaged to Joe Waterman, 35, a trader in Chicago. Jen Schefft related the story of how she met Joe Waterman on a blind date in February this year. It was almost love at first sight as they got on well together and clicked fast.

Schefft and Waterman are both residents of Chicago now and they will get married there in 2009. Schefft wants a small wedding with just about 60 close relatives and friends. Jen Schefft was once engaged to Andrew Firestone. Firestone was The Bachelor 2003 in the reality series’ third season. Schefft and Firestone were engaged but it failed to work out. By Dec. 2003, Firestone and Schefft had broken up. Schefft decided she wanted to try The Bachelorette in 2005. The producers gave her The Bachelorette’s third season in 2005 and Schefft was faced with Jerry Ferris and John Paul Merritt.
