Updated June 8 – Jeff Hanson’s cause of death will not be known for another 6 – 8 weeks. That is the length of time for toxicology and other investigations to be readied.

June 6 2009 -

Jeff Hanson, 31, was found dead in his new apartment. Hanson was a singer and songwriter. Hanson had a soft, effeminate voice and his strong lyrics won him a contract with the record company, “Kill Rock Stars”.

Hanson was discovered dead on Friday, June 5. Hanson was inside his apartment in St Paul when he was found by his parents. Hanson had been excited about moving and wanted his parents to see how he was doing.

Jeff Hanson’s sister, Sara Hanson, said Jeff could have died after a fall or an accident in his new apartment. Ms Hanson said Jeff had no substance abuse problems.

Jeff Hanson was divorced and he did not have any children. The medical examiner will conduct an investigation to determine his cause of death. After which, Jeff Hanson’s family may arrange for the funeral.
