Jeff Gradney fired after Craigslist sex ad reported to boss

By Clarencia Cynrae on August 21st, 2008

Jeff Gradney, a reporter for K TNV-TV, Channel 13, has been fired. Jeff Gradney was accused of soliciting males for partners. Jeff Gradney and his girlfriend supposedly did social solicitation over the internet.

Jeff Gradney was fired on Monday, August 18, 2008. Jeff Gradney’s unhappy colleague or foe, sent a strange ad from Craigslist. This ad was sent to management and other staff. The ad had a picture of Jeff Gradney and his girlfriend, supposedly having sex. The ad wanted a cool guy to play with in the couple relationship.

Jim Prather, The VP and GM of Journal Broadcast Group station confirmed that Jeff Gradney was dismissed but tactfully refused further comment. Jim Prather said it was a personal matter. It is Jeff Gradney’s personal life. Did it matter what Jeff Gradney did in his personal capacity after working hours? Is Jeff Gradney’s good image a necessary carry over during his private life such that he should be immaculate at all times?

  1. Former Coworker Says:

Chances are this isn’t the only reason Gradney was let go. I worked with him a few years ago, and he was let go from that station for sexual harassment. And I was one of those he harassed. Someone else had the guts to place the complaint and I was called in to talk about it as well. Just knowing him, I can just imagine what else he was up to.
