Jean D’Haiti: D’Haiti killed outside Skate 22 shooting (video)
By Clarencia Cynrae on December 26th, 2008Jean D’Haiti, of Elizabeth, Union, N.J., was fatally shot at Skate 22, a roller skating rink, during a Christmas party. Jean D’Haiti was killed after a fight started outside the rink, at the car park of Skate 22 rink in Union, on early Fri. morning, Dec. 26, at around 12: 10 am.
Skate 22 rink was rented out for a private party. A fight started and verbal exchanges were heard before gunshots rang out. Almost 700 teens and young adults attended the Skate 22 party on Thur. night, Dec. 25. Witnesses said fights with girl groups erupted frequently during that night in Skate 22.
Police have refused to release more information on the shootings. Eye witnesses at Skate 22 said the boy who was shot was around 15 – 16 years old. Jean D’Haiti was supposedly shot twice in the head. When police arrived, they declared Jean D’Haiti dead on the spot.
The local authorities said the Skate 22 rink had a history of violence. They will be investigating and defining measures to ensure safety for the future.

i cant believe t.. at skate 22 its sad b/c most likely the fight was over a girl/boy.. its kinda sad…but also a lesson learned to all..MAYBE if there wasnt so many people there the fight could have been resolved before weapon where brought out.. and there would have been less consequences. Ignoring the name calling or what ever took place both teens could have had a great time just skating! Now ones life is takened and another will face the rest of his/her life behind bars and never seing light again.

I can not belive skate 22 had a shoot out, i had my birthday party there. if family is reading this then i hope u are okay. that was crazy that thiz fight wuz over a boy/girl. i bet that if there wuz not so much people there the fight would not get so serious. i can not belive jean got killed over nonsense it iz so sad. i think that thiz boy did not deserve to get hiz life taken away. thiz wuz supose to be a great time around christmas but it ended up badly.now skate 22 faces the consequences of a teens actions. i think wat brought thiz situation iz pressure with everyone around u, you want 2 act like u r tough. i think the teen shoulda thought twice be4 he/she did da crime that wuz so stupid. skate 22 shoulda had security so dis would not happen. but i am not blaming skate 22 though.

jean was my best friend everytime i saw him i had to give him money or he’d never leave me alone. when i wake up the day after christmass at 6 in the morning i called his sister and ask her is it true, when she told me the thruth i cried cause he was such a good person. he was nice to anybody, as long as u were respecting him.its february and i still can’t believe they took him away, but he gave’d us the best 16 years of our lives. sieng him smile put a smile on my face, u can’t find a friend like him ever in your life. i miss hanging with him and his sisters together, sitting in his living room while he’s cracking jokes, and telling me how much he love’d his girlfriend and that he’d never leave her. he was going to be a great model and own his own clothing line cause he could dress, that’s why he was J-fresh. he stayed fresh at all times. i miss him and **R.I.P Jean Backer Dhaiti** you’re gone but not forgotten we still love you. for life

j fresh was my boy ,my homie and also a brother to me.He’s a sweet 16 year old boy who care for others but always had love for his family and friends. he was never that type of person that turn his back on anybody not even his family.y did he had to go it wasn’t his time.i never picture myself ever find my self writing rip j-fresh on anything.
