Jay Leno will air 5 nights weekly at prime time, 10 pm. Jay Leno’s The Tonight Show has been moved up from 11:35 weekday nights to 10 pm. Jay Leno is the late night ratings leader and NBC guarded him jealously. NBC was rumored to be holding on to Jay Leno for fear he would leave and start a new show with a rival of NBC. Jay Leno’s rumored suitors were ABC, Fox network and Sony television studio.
