John Strauss died earlier this year but his estate is suing to get back two vintage cars the garage sold away. Jay Leno, the comedian and car collector, bought one of these cars.

A garage in Manhattan, called Windsor Garage, was accused of illegally selling away John Strauss’ 1931 Model J Duesenberg to Jay Leno in 2005. Windsor Garage claimed Strauss owed them $29 000 in parking fees. In 2005, Windsor Garage sold away the 1931 Model Duesenberg and a 1930 Rolls Royce. Jay Leno has been sued for the return of the car. Leno’s spokesman has refused to comment.

John Strauss was the heir of Macy’s department store.
