Jay Johnson died: Jay Johnson dead

Jay Johnson has died on Saturday, October 17. Johnson, 66, a former Congressman and TV news anchor, died of a heart attack.

Johnson was well known when he was a TV news anchor at WLUK and WFRV in Green Bay. Johnson worked in the media for 32 years. Johnson later served one term as a Congressman. Johnson represented the 8th Congressional District in Wisconsin in 1996.

After his term ended, Johnson went to work for the US Mint and served as its Director. Johnson stayed with the Mint from 2000 to 2001 and left for Jay Johnson Coins and Consulting, which was his own company.

Jay Johnson left behind his wife and two stepchildren.
