Jay Electronica, a rapper, and his girlfriend, Erykah Badu, are new parents to their baby. Jay Electronica’s baby girl was born on Sunday, Feb 1.

Erykah Badu blogged about her delivery of her new baby on Twitter. Badu wrote that her childbirth labor lasted 5 hours. Badu gave birth at home and resisted using painkillers. Erykah Badu, aka Erica Wright, has a son and daughter from previous relationships.

Erykah Badu is due to release her album, “New Amerykah, Part Two” later in January.
