Jason Skaggs, 34 in 2007, had a car accident and killed Sun “Zoe” Yan, Bian “Jack” Jin and Xue “Jo” Bing. The deceased were students in Urbana University in Ohio.

Their parents borrowed money to fund their children’s education. Sun Yan, Bian Jin and Xue Bing were the only child of their single child families. Their parents were left childless and without support for their old age. Jason Skaggs was convicted and sentenced to 34 years.

Urbana University has been collecting donations for the families of Sun Yan, Bian Jin and Xue Bing. They claimed the money went to funerals, travel expenses to attend the trial of Jason Skaggs and repayment of loans. The families explained to CNN how their tragedies affected their lives, livelihoods and future. CNN highlighted their case and gave the contact for donations -
