Janine Sligar: Prison secretary Sligar sentenced for sex with inmate

Janine Sligar, 47, of Wray, Colorado,was a prison secretary. Janine Sligar had sex with a prison inmate she was supposed to be supervising. Sligar has been sentenced to 6 months in prison.

Sligar was sentenced for sexual abuse of a ward. Sligar will serve 5 years of supervised release and must register as a sex offender. Sligar had pleaded guilty.

Sligar and an inmate, Eric McClain met in Feb 2007. McClain was assigned to clean Sligar’s office. Sligar and McClain started having sex in the summer of 2007 and carried on until Oct 2007. Sligar took photos of herself and McClain in sexual positions. Sligar had changed the primary beneficiary on an insurance policy from her kids to Eric McClain.
