Jamie McMurray and Christy Futrell were engaged on Monday, in Scottsdale, Arizona. His team mate at Roush Fenway, Carl Edwards, got engaged to Kate Downey in October. Jamie McMurray, 32, said he felt very nervous proposing to his long time girlfriend, Christy Futrell. Futrell was incredulous and asked him if he was sure about it. McMurray said Futrell is his best friend.

Carl Edwards, 29, said his fiancée, Kate Downey, is a wonderful woman. Edwards said he was sure they cared for each other for the right reasons.

Jamie McMurray and Carl Edwards are NASCAR drivers.
