Robert J Ward’s home near Isleworth Country Club golf course had a murder happen there. On Monday, September 21, Diane Elizabeth Ward was shot to death at 5277 Isleworth Country Club Drive. This is west of Orange County.

Diane Elizabeth Ward was found dead from a gunshot wound in the master bedroom. A gun has been recovered from the scene.

James Robert Ward, 61, used to be the chairman of Land Resource. Ward’s company went bankrupt in October 2008. Land Resource’s $15.6 million in assets were auctioned away in Jan 2009.

The Orange County Sheriff’s department is in charge of this case. James Robert Ward is in police custody.

Case investigators have not released any information on the identity of the dead victim, or identity of the man in custody.

The Sheriff’s department would not confirm if the man in custody is Robert Ward.

Isleworth Country Club properties are among the highest prized and prestigious in Orange County. Property owners include Shaquille O’Neal, Grant Hill, Tom Morgan, Tiger Woods and Bob Dance etc.
