Updated July 26 – James Ricard “Ricky” Thompson, 19, was charged with murder. Thompson allegedly killed Stacy Marie Barnett and John Forest Goosey. Goosey was a marijuana dealer.

Police said Thompson told them he owned Goosey money for taking marijuana to sell. Thompson killed Goosey to avoid paying him his debt. Barnett was Goosey’s girlfriend and she lived with him. Barnett was killed because she was at home with Goosey.

Stacy Barnett & John Goosey: Barnett & Goosey killed

Stacy Barnett, 22, and John Goosey, 21, were found fatally shot in their apartment. Barnett and Goosey were murdered on Tuesday, July 21, in Texas. Barnett had made an appointment to meet her parents in Houston and they were worried when she failed to show up.

Mr and Mrs Barnett called Stacy’s friends who went to the apartment and discovered the deaths. The home was near the University of Texas. Police said there was no forced entry and the killer probably knew the dating couple.

Stacy Barnett and John Goosey were graduates of the University of Texas.
