James Morrin killed Alice Morrin and himself
By Therese Lisieux on June 30th, 2009Alice Morrin, 43, and her husband, James Morrin, 45, were found dead in their home in Vernon, Connecticut. Alice Morrin was thought to have called police on Sunday before 12 midnight. The woman told police she had a quarrel; a domestic dispute and that there were children in the house.
When police arrived, they heard a few gunshots. Police used a battering ram to break down the door. It was too late.
Police found Morrin’s daughters, 9 years old and 15 years old, unharmed in the home. Alice Morrin died of a gunshot wound. James Morrin was also dead from a gunshot wound. Alice and James were found in separate rooms of the home. James Morrin had a rifle near his body. Police suspect James Morrin murdered his wife and then committed suicide.
Alice Morrin worked at Fox 61, in Connecticut. James Morrin worked in the Connecticut Department of Transportation. The Morrin children have been placed with relatives.
