Pamela Fayed, 44, was stabbed to death on July 28, 2008. Her husband, James Michael Fayed, 45, is the main suspect in her murder. The killer used a getaway car which was identified as being rented using James Fayed’s credit card.

James Michael Fayed has been arrested and charged in a different case. James Michael Fayed was accused of operating an unlicensed money transmitting business or racket. Fayed was being held without bail because he was a flight risk. James Fayed would be back in court on September 15.

One month before Pamela Fayed was killed, her lawyer had informed prosecutors that Pamela Fayed was willing to cooperate in the criminal probe into the businesses she had owned with her husband. The couple was estranged by then.
