James Magee was sentenced to death. Magee was sentenced for his conviction that he killed his wife and son in 2007. Magee collapsed in court after hearing his sentence.

On Saturday, October 17, the jury had convicted Magee for killing his wife, Adrienne Magee, 28, and his son, Zach Magee, 5. Magee killed his wife and child on April 18, in 2007.

Magee was also charged with the attempted killings of his other kids, Ashleigh Magee and Aleisha Magee. The girls were 8 and 7 years old at the time of the crime in 2007. The Magee family lived in Mandeville, Louisiana.
