James L Owens: Owens freed from Colleen Williar sentence

James L. Owens, 43, was sentenced to life in prison for killing Colleen Williar, 24, in 1987. Owens supposedly killed Williar after his burglary went wrong in Baltimore. Owens was charged along with James Thompson of raping Colleen Williar. A DNA test excluded Owens and Thompson of raping Williar. James L. Owens had served 21 years in prison. Owens was released on Wed., Oct 15. Prosecutors lacked evidence to retry him.

James Owen spoke to reporters and said that no one could return to him his life spent in prison. Owens refused to speak further.
