James Hetfield, of Metallica, has erected a fence around his property. Hikers and cyclists in Northern California now have no access through a trail that runs through James Hetfield’s backyard.

James Hetfield built the fence to prevent vandalism on his land but his fence is now vandalized with graffiti that read “shame” and “disgrace.”
