James Earl Jones is honored with the 2008 Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award. James Earl Jones related his life story of how he overcame stuttering.

Jones said he was so quiet that he was almost mute in his childhood. Jones was shy to speak up because he had a stuttering problem. James Earl Jones said he loved reading and because of his love for words, he was able to overcome his silence and sing. James Earl Jones’ shared his anecdote which would help many others overcome their stuttering and maybe find a career in singing too.
