James Joseph Cialella Jr, 29, was watching a movie in the Riverview Movie Theater, in Philadelphia, when he was very irritated by a family talking during the movie. Cialella shot the father of the family in his arm.
Cialella was a real movie fan as he refused to be disturbed by anyone and continued watching the movie. When police arrived, Cialella was still inside the theater. Police found Cialella with a black colored Kel-Tec .380 handgun in front of his waist. Police arrested Cialella.
James Cialella was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, violation of firearms act, possession of an instrument of crime, simple assault and reckless endangerment of another person.

The true story is that the man that got shot smacked a woman in the face and was fighting with other “movie goers”… when jimmy tried to break the fight up he was jumped by five men..Not counting the ones that were just walking by and stomping on him just because they wanted to. And when his sister went to break it up she was also jumped.. Jimmy had no choice but to fire his gun.. If not he and his siter would be in the hospital right now. And he turned HIMSELF in!!!! He walked up to the first cop he seen outside of the theater and TURNED HIMSELF IN!! I really wish everyone would get the story right before they start with their judgements.
What Ciallela did was an act of cowardice, stupidity and brutality. If you think people should have the right to own firearms, you are not smart to support what he did in this theater. The world is filled with dopes who talk at movies, take up two parking spaces, cut in lines and play their stereos too loud. Shooting them is not an option for an intelligent human being. What if this idiot had shot your brother or your own father? One of the reasons theaters are losing money is because they don’t anything about rude movie-goers. Demand your money back, and/or refuse to patronize that theater until they provide ushers who can handle talkative people in the audience. Write letters, boycott, and leave your gun at home. This isn’t supposed to be like Baghdad.
Good! Now maybe little punk bitches will realize when someone tells them to shut the fuck up in a movie they are fucking serious. Too bad the guy didn’t kill the whole family.
And if you know Philly, you know something about the people who wouldn’t shut up. It’s a pity this doesn’t happen more often.
a lesson to all those that will not shut up during movies.
