James Bulger, aka Jamie Bulger, was 2 years old when he wandered away from his mother at a mall. Jon Venables took Jamie Bulger’s hand and brought him away from the mall. Jon Venables was accompanied by his friend, Robert Thompson, both 10. Jon Venables and Robert Thompson served 8 years for torturing and murdering James Bulger.

James Patrick Bulger was killed on Feb. 12, 1993. Photos are at the link. Jon Venables and Robert Thompson were released in 2001 after serving 8 years. Venables and Thompson were given new identities and new locations to settle in. They would be around 25 now.
