Jacques Rickerson, Florida’s backup cornerback, was arrested on Monday night, November 3. Jacques Rickerson was charged with domestic battery on his girlfriend, in Gainesville, Florida.

The Alachua County Sheriff’s report said that Jacques Rickerson visited his girlfriend at her home. She told him to leave and Rickerson became upset. She claimed Rickerson assaulted her, choked her and used a pillow to cover her face. The woman had injuries on her arm, neck and chest. Rickerson tried to detain the woman in her room and he removed her cell phone.

On Feb. 9, 2007, Rickerson was charged with possession of marijuana, a misdemeanour offence. Two months later, the charge was dropped.

Florida Gators coach, Urban Meyer, made an announcement on Tuesday, November 4, that Jacques Rickerson, 20, has been booted off the team.
