Updated May 26 2009 – Chanequa Campbell is the girlfriend of Jabrai Copney’s girlfriend. Campbell has been booted from the residence of the Harvard dorm where she stayed. Campbell denied any involvement with Copney or the shooting of Justin Cosby. Campbell was also banned from graduating from Harvard.

Chanequa Campbell claimed she was targeted because she is black and poor. No other student has been affected by being banned after the death of Justin Cosby at Harvard.

Harvard University refused to give a public statement on Chanequa Campbell.

Updated May 22 2009 – Jabrai Jordan Copney was arrested and charged with murder. Copney pleaded not guilty to charges he murdered Justin Cosby. Copney is the son of a retired NYPD police officer, Yvette Bloem. Copney is an aspiring songwriter.

Yvette Bloem defended Copney by reiterating her faith and belief in her son.

Police think that Copney and two others staged a drug rip of Cosby and shot him. Cosby was found wounded with $1000 cash and 1 pound of marijuana on him. Police suspected Cosby was selling pot to students at Harvard University. Copney was allegedly one of the group who wanted to rob Cosby. Copney may not have been the shooter but police have charged him with murder for being part of the group.

Jabrai Jordan Copney, Justin Cosby and Harvard students all knew one another because of the alleged drug trade.

Justin Cosby’s family denied that he was a hoodlum. Cosby told his family he wanted to marry his girlfriend and continue his studies.

Updated May 19 2009 – The victim was identified as Justin Cosby. Cosby was from Cambridge and a student at Salem State. Cosby’s mother, Denise Cosby, said she had no idea what Justin was doing in Harvard University or why anyone would shoot him.

Someone at the dorm said she heard 3 muffled gunshots from inside her room but was afraid to investigate.

Justin Cosby passed away on Tuesday, May 19, about one day after being shot in the abdomen at Harvard University.

A victim was wounded in the Harvard shooting on the campus of Harvard University. Harvard is on a kind of lockdown. Students and staff were told to remain where they were and use campus facilities while authorities search for the gunman. The Harvard shooting occurred at around 5 pm Monday May 18.

The victim of the Harvard shooting was shot in the abdomen. His identity was not released. The Harvard shooting was outside the entrance of the Kirkland House dormitory. The young man collapsed on Dunster Street.

Police are looking for several assailants.
