Sourabhee Debbarma is the first female winner of India’s version of the singing contest called “American Idol”. Sourabhee Debbarma is the first Indian Idol. Debbarma won a Rs.10 million contract with Sony TV and a car. Debbarma won because of the public voting system.

The judges for Indian Idol 4 were Javed Akhtar, Anu Malik, Kailash Kher and Sonali Bendre. Debbarma, 22, has no prior experience with no professional training in music. Sourabhee Debbarma is charismatic and presented her stage performances well.
