Ignacio Ramos & Jose Compean:Ignacio Compean sentence commuted (video)

Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean, former Border Patrol agents, had their sentences commuted by President George Bush. Ramos and Compean will be released on March 20 2009.

Ramos and Compean were convicted of the Feb. 2005 shooting dead a drug smuggler crossing the US-Mexican border.

Joe Loya, Ramos’ father-in-law, said they have received support from America from people, radio stations, TV stations, AP and etc. Ramos and Compean are not being pardoned. The two will be considered as having served their prison terms but they are still considered convicted felons.
