Tucker Max objected to Gawker’s reviews on his movie, “I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell”, based on his book of the same name. Tucker Max challenged Gawker by laying down $10K to bet that his movie will perform well at the box office.

“I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell” has a budget of $6 million, sponsored by Darko Entertainment, and the film will be ready for release in 2009. Then a second Tucker Max book, ” Assholes Finish First”, will be published and released to take advantage of the publicity.

Gawker’s Ian Spiegelman wrote that he believed Tucker Max’s anecdotes to be false.

I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell is based on the book by Tucker Max. Max’s Beer story is about three buddies who visit a strip club and behave like hillybillies.
