Hoyt family murders 2005
By Angie Anthony on June 1st, 2008Some people associated the new movie The Strangers on the real life murder story of the Hoyt family in 2005. Some people had done research on the Hoyt family murders. Get ready for this…
It does not exist.
There is a Sheriff Hoyt and he is a character in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. He was played by R. Lee Ermy.
The reel Sheriff Hoyt has no connection with the Hoyt family murders 2005.
Look for the Keddie murders in this site. There is a post on it.
Updated Mon. June 2 2008.
It seems that James Hoyt and Kristen McKay existed but their records have been deleted away from the internet. The Hoyt family did not want publicity into the murders so they paid for a service called a scrub. The scrub scubbed away and cleaned up the internet references to James Hoyt and the Hoyt murders. Kristen McKay’s name and references were also removed. The Hoyt family was approached for their rights to the story but they refused to sell out and went the other way.
The Hoyt family’s vacation home at 1801 Clark Road was demolished and totally flattened. The site is bare and is made into an empty space and part of a park.
There is a Clark Road in Clarksville, Arkansas. But …
An internet search turned up many roads in USA with that address. There are more than 10 maps.
All traces of the Hoyt murders were removed. It was as if the murders on Feb. 11, 2005 never happened.
The present search results on James Hoyt and Kristen McKay referred to the new data on the movie, The Strangers. There is no data on the deceased victims.
The movie was inspired by some incidents but it did not depict real murders. “The Strangers” was linked to the Manson murders, the Keddie Murders, the Hoyt family murders but the scriptwriter did not use an actual single story to write “The Strangers.”

omg this is crap! i mean you seriously dont know if its a true fact or not!
i believe that it did because there are sick ass people in this world that would go off and do that.
So stop this!
June 5th, 2008 at 5:19 am
this suppossed “scrub” to protect the privacy of the family unfortunately does not exist. Any criminal case or event reported to the police are public domain noone could say you are not aloud to hear of this event
June 5th, 2008 at 5:26 am
The update explained what happened. It was the same for another case when a scrub was used to erase all references and links to another case. Hillbuzz wrote about it. It looks like crap when the scrub has deceived the whole of the internet.
June 5th, 2008 at 5:55 am
The scrub does not allow links so that a search will not turn up info. The web pages might be there because they belong to different owners who maintain them but search engines can not link to them.
Did you read Hillbuzz? There was a scrub to remove the references to Michelle Obama’s tape - http://celebgalz.com/sean-hannity-claims-tape-on-michelle-obama-ranting-on-whitey-at-tucc/
Hillbuzz:

Scrubs exist. This page explains the different types of internet scrubs -

i dont get it. Obv. they are real, but how can we ever know for real?
i want to see it!!!!
June 8th, 2008 at 12:31 am
Okay, guys, this may seem a bit annoying, but it’s not real. The producer of the movie even stated that this murder case is made up. Seriously. While I beleieve that ’scrubbing’ could possibly be a reality, this murder is not. And the movie was lame, I think. Those killers would have been picked off easily, “John and Kristen” are wooses. You had a SHOTGUN, shit. Get a grip. But all of that aside, it truly is not a real case. Blair Witch Project; Perfect example of - ‘the events in this movie are true’ crap. Try to get over it.
June 8th, 2008 at 6:08 pm
I was offended at th epremise that a grown ass man did not know how to use a shotgun it goes to show how this country tries to wuss up things….
June 12th, 2008 at 5:45 pm
It seems that if this was true. Someone from the town would remember, and maybe still have the news articles. It wasnt that long ago. Can anyone in Arkansas come forward, and say if this is actually true or not. I’m not listening to any of these people who have absolutely no idea.
June 14th, 2008 at 10:53 pm
Regardless of the true story. The movie scared the hell out of me. probably give crazy people ideas. can’t even go pee in the middle opf the night at my cabin now
June 14th, 2008 at 11:13 pm
It takes some time to get over the creepy feeling.
June 16th, 2008 at 5:13 pm
This was a stupid movie. If there were no witnesses how’d they know it started at 4am,or get ideas of the situation. Either this is fiction of a weak nature or alot of info has been left out. Please don’t make a sequel….
June 17th, 2008 at 1:02 am
There is no evidence of a Clarkson, Arkansas!
June 25th, 2008 at 8:13 pm
The producers stated that the movie was based on actual events (bits & peices). which is totally differ from true story (all facts). Their is another movie out there which actually happen but in England. Now I beleive the movie was a remake of the one which was produced in england, the differ is (5) kids were the killers.
July 3rd, 2008 at 8:14 am
All I say is thank God that I “bought” the movie and not waste the gasoline, dinner money, etc… to see this work of art. I think that there are enough ways to kill people, we don’t need any more ideas on how to take a life.
August 3rd, 2008 at 8:48 pm
About to open here in Australia…. down here, we don’t care too much about the facts, just SCARE US SILLY and we gets our moneys worth
August 13th, 2008 at 3:56 pm
well you just dont know maybe its true maybe not but it stops the gradifacation to those …………………………….. we are out there!!!!!!
August 13th, 2008 at 9:24 pm
Well this is interesting because i clicked on this site because i couldn’t find any information about the so-called real life victims. Only stuff on the movie. This scrub thing is interesting now i need to know if thats real too lol. I will dig deeper on both. But as Chelseybop said Blairwitch is a good example of a so-called true story that wasn’t. Can Movie makers say that if it is so? Hmmm another thing for me to look into Doh! Oh yeh and by the way Picnic at Hanging Rock is NOT real lol.
August 16th, 2008 at 3:17 am
ok guys, get a grip. this movie was based on some stuff that went down in THIS COUNTRY. if the man does not know how to use shotgun, maybe he should have killed those bag people with his arms and legs. or maybe he should have joined them. it’s not up to us to decide. i do know a jamews hoyt but he was not killed by bag people. it is just not up to us. we just can never really truly know. please, get a grip. love, scrubby.
August 16th, 2008 at 3:20 am
scrubby, WTF? the bag people would have a lot of fun w/ you i bet.
August 20th, 2008 at 2:00 am
If you you all open your eyes and read and listen it says INSIPRED BY TRUE EVENTS not anything else now that could mean anything at all so they can say that because it is very loose
August 20th, 2008 at 12:10 pm
Who cares if it was a real event, it’s a movie.
Please scrub most of the most of the commenters
here off the interwebz plz, jesus god, retards.
The ones that “aren’t stupid”: you know who you are,
you’re ok.
August 23rd, 2008 at 4:57 pm
Ditto marty kubrick
Scare us aussies and ya got a winner!
August 25th, 2008 at 10:54 am
Listen… It states that it is ‘INSPIRED’ by true events. Which means that, anything at all could have given the writer the ‘INSPIRATION’ that led to this FICTIONAL movie. Had he said that it was based on a true story, then he would have had to write the facts as they understood them. But, in this case, his inspiration came from two things;
First, when he was a child, his neighborhood was burglarized by people who first knocked at the doors of the homes in order to see if anyone were home.
Second, and most importantly, was the Manson Family murders.
So, to the people who made this page, you really should do your homework. Pathetic attempt to get page views. You have lost all credibility where I am concerned!!!
Is it not bad enough that every you turn these days, especially on the Internet, we are fed so much ‘BS’. Lies, lies, and more lies. It has gotten to the point where I cannot believe half of what I read. We need truth, we need facts,. Not overly imaginative minds and here-say.
I beg you to do your homework on your future pages. People look at the Internet as a guide in finding ‘Truthful’ and ‘Accurate’ information.
August 25th, 2008 at 2:35 pm
The relative of the deceased, James Hoyt, wrote a comment on the internet to explain the circumstances after the murders. The house was demolished because the other family members refused to let the story becme a legend. The relative told that the surviving family paid a professional service to delete the internet records. This was done after a movie producer approached the survivors for permission to make the movie. The family disagreed and proceeded to erase the records to stop the propagation of publicity. James Hoyt and Kristen McKay were big names when the movie was first released in the US. It was suspected that the movie was inspired by their true story because of the scrub. The second wave of movie reviewers tried to link the Manson murders, Keddie Cabin murders and etc.
September 3rd, 2008 at 5:29 am
look yanky doodles, there is nothing true about this movie but maybe it happened in a house thats as true as it gets, the texas chainsaw massacre was based on true events which was actually based on the ed gein story. uyou find the comparrisons apart from a gy who wears skin on his face, maybe the killers did wear bags so wat he hell how many other murders have people wore masks, its a load of bull and based on true events is just a ploy to scare you more or makle you go see it or do stupid research and spread the movie title around.
September 9th, 2008 at 7:23 am
Why would any family destroy records or get some so called firm to destroy any info, all seems well far fetched texas chainsaw meets friday the 13th but on the other hand while watching the movie it seems like some cult or college freaks who just saw too many slasher movies trying to recreate the manson family or worse.
September 22nd, 2008 at 5:55 pm
The events on the movie are true. Me and my friends were going to have a party in that old cabin we found in the woods in northern California, but then this couple of pigs just got into the cabin and ruined us the whole night. So when my friend told me she had knocked the door and found two strangers, me and my other friend just decided to kill them. And yeah, we had a hell of a party. Manson murders? Yeah, we were inspired by them. As well as Ed Gein, Ted Bundy and some more cool guys.
Oh by the way, Tamara is not my real name (it is the fictional name the producers gave to my character, I wouldn’t be so stupid as to give you my real name). But I had a lot of fun watching a movie I had inspired…
Cheers !!!
September 22nd, 2008 at 7:07 pm
It happened in US. You are from Spain.
October 1st, 2008 at 8:28 am
“tamera” your fucking stupid!
October 8th, 2008 at 7:13 am
The family paid a lot of money to have it erased. It kind’ve hurts to have a movie made after your family member is killed just so kids can go watch it to get a thrill. It is based off that murder, but inspired by it because no one knows what really happened. That’s why it is based off the events they believe happened. You can’t say it is what happened if police are not even sure.
October 10th, 2008 at 10:10 am
so if it were true, who were the actual survivers?
October 13th, 2008 at 9:18 am
The true events that movie was inspired by was this:
According to production notes,[2] the film was inspired by an event from director Bryan Bertino’s childhood: a stranger came to his home asking for someone who was not there, and Bertino later found out that empty homes in the neighborhood had been broken into that night.[3] In interviews, Bertino stated he was “very impressed” with some of the theories circulating on the Internet about the “true events” the movie is allegedly based on, but said his main inspiration was Helter Skelter, a true crime book about the 1969 Manson family murders.[4][5]
October 16th, 2008 at 6:10 am
I’m sorry but most of the people leaving comments here are idiots. Most can’t spell, and other just think they’re real life murderers.
Get a life.
As for the movie, it was pretty intense, and full of suspense. But i do not think this was a real murder. As normal people would run as fast as they could. NOT one go out, one stay in the house. Typical horror movie set-up.
But a good scary movie. However, what’s with Liv grabbing the kids arm at the end? THAT i don’t understand. No one would just lay there and all of a sudden jump up and scream after being stabbed so many times.
Ok i’m done now.
October 16th, 2008 at 11:58 am
still cant get off the feeling of curiosity as to who really were the killers. this is why i researched hoping to see the real faces of Mckay and Hoyt… to relieve my antipathy
October 18th, 2008 at 6:57 pm
Here’s what I think. At the end when Liv Tyler’s character grabbed the kid at the end, that would signify that the chick survived. Ok, and she was laying there? Duh, she had just been terrorized all night by some creeps, stabbed multiple times, saw a friend shot in the head, and her EX (remember, she turned him down) killed. After all of that, she was left for dead, so yeah, she probably wouldn’t move around too much. Obviously she must have survived because they had to get the information to inspire the story from somewhere. Whether or not it really happened, logic would tell me that that’s probably how it happened just to make any sense out of all of this. And as for the family not wanting any publicity? Would you want to broadcast the death of a family member? Or make a shit-ton of money because some sick, probably imbred mo’ fo’ from arkansas slashed them? Didn’t think so.
October 21st, 2008 at 9:16 pm
This movie is not based on the real Hoyt family ! I just finsihed watching this by myself and was not the least bit scary!!!
October 21st, 2008 at 10:12 pm
I have ho doubt that this happened sometime, somewhere. specifics in the movie, names and location, likely made up but there are way too many crazy people in this world. Where I live there was a guy went to his ex’s house and killed her and her entire family, 7 or 8 people by himself just cause he was pissed and out of his fricken mind, so a group of crazy people killing a couple or a family just because they were home, is really not so far fetched. Only required inspiration needed for this movie was to watch the news, which is scary enough. I liked the movie but it is what it is a scary movie.
October 22nd, 2008 at 1:39 am
There is absolutely no way to delete all information about a person or criminal act from the internet. If people can get our social security numbers they can get anything. This is just a fictional tale taken from MANY criminal sources by talented writers and directors. It is a really good scary story for this time of year.

To: “Tamara” on 9/22/08
You know that is the problem with Hollywood making movies like this, it gives psycotic’s such as yourself ideas, and makes people get bolder when plotting a crime! Although I did watch this movie, which did scare the hell out of me, it also made me think while I was watching this, that right under our noses there are hundred’s of thousands of people, or monster’s per say, lurking around us that have the potential and mental illnesses to follow thru with horrendous crimes of this nature!
I remember back in the day when it was taboo to even turn on the TV set and see a Hollywood couple portraying a husband and wife in the same bed together, now we can turn on the TV and see pron, swearing, killing, torture, basically anything you could conjer up and this is why I feel that people are becoming more and more violent and inventing more and more ways to commit a crime worse than the last!
I think, after seeing this movie and other’s similar to this type of horror film, that we need to really start limiting what we allow Hollywood to put out there! I know there is a demand for movies like this but if you think about it, why?
What kind of a world are we living in that movies like this are purchased as opposed to feeding the hungry or helping our vets?
We need to get back to having some Christian morals and stop all of this insanity!
Back to “Tamara”, you seriously sound as if you are in need of some heavy medication and ongoing mental health treatment! For you to even suggest that you would have committed a crime of this nature makes you one sick person! I wish that the FBI would put a trace on your computer and have you seriously investigated and arrested because for you to even suggest you would be capable of such a crime makes me really worry for the safety of anyone in your path! Your sick!
October 22nd, 2008 at 11:50 am
this movie hit a little to close to home for the town i live in, two days ago an elderly gay couple where murdered in thier own home, not bothering any one just living thier lives. I think ME sums it up pretty well..movies like these really do just give sick people like dumb ass “tamara” ideas..theres a God girl, one day youll answer to him (if any of what you said is true )if not..just making something like that up is sick…get some help before you really hurt someone..
October 22nd, 2008 at 5:31 pm
I seen this movie a year ago, except it was a foriegn film and it said it was “inspired by real effents” that took place in france.
October 22nd, 2008 at 11:16 pm
shit happens all the time…this probably happened and yes i think the girl is still alive fuck..look at texas chainsaw massacre…btw it was a good movie and if the people want their privacy then i dont blame them in the least
October 23rd, 2008 at 9:09 am
This “Tamara” is just an idiot trying to get all of you riled up. And it’s working. Don’t give him the satisfaction. Nobody who actually committed a crime such as that would brag about it on a very public message board, because the FBI could most definitely find them.
October 23rd, 2008 at 1:40 pm
Inspiration
According to production notes,[2] the film was inspired by an event from director Bryan Bertino’s childhood: a stranger came to his home asking for someone who was not there, and Bertino later found out that empty homes in the neighborhood had been broken into that night.[3] In interviews, Bertino stated he was “very impressed” with some of the theories circulating on the Internet about the “true events” the movie is allegedly based on, but said his main inspiration was Helter Skelter, a true crime book about the 1969 Manson family murders.[4][5]
In another interview, Liv Tyler revealed that in Bertino’s original script, “You saw a lot more of the strangers. It was much more of a Manson-esque experience.”[3]
Some have suggested that The Strangers might simply be a rewrite of the French 2006 film, Ils (English: Them). The film features a couple staying in a remote house that is surrounded by woods, eventually in the late evening hours they are stalked and terrorized by several masked individuals.[6]
October 23rd, 2008 at 9:16 pm
the movie was awesome…plus me and my gf had great sex….
October 24th, 2008 at 10:27 am
I just watched the movie last night. I was unimpressed on how dark the movie was, granted it was dark outside but I couldn’t see a thing. Also “Tamara” you’re stupid. For one a killer wouldn’t get on a discussion board and brag about this. Two like someone else said you can be tracked down by the Feds. Real smart.
People crack me up, they claim they did crimes just to get attention. If you’re that starved for attention then you have serious issues.
October 24th, 2008 at 12:53 pm
You know what really pisses me off??? People being so judgmental of everyone they don’t know, talking about places they obviously don’t know anything about and others acting like they know everything.
Iowagirl: For one you don’t know it happened it AR because everyone on here seems to believe it’s not real. I’m from AR and I’m not imbred. You have to be imbred to commit a murder as grotesque as this??? HMMMM? I don’t think so. Murders in this country are committed by all types of people. Different color size education, everything.
VanD: You are just being an asshole with your comment. People aren’t scrutinizing how everyone spells. They are just curious about the Hoyt murders (fictional or not) as everyone else. Not English teachers looking to grade the world on their spelling mistakes or grammatical errors since you made a few yourself. And as far as how the people act in movies when they get stabbed or are emotional….what the hell would you know? Have you ever been chased by a serial killer? Has anyone ever stabbed you over and over and you live long enough to get up and run? Since you didn’t mention any of this I’m assuming not. You know nothing about what it must be like to watch a loved one be murdered and than to know that you made it out alive. You know nothing about wanting to protect someone you love so much that you would sacrifice your life by going out alone and checking for the bad guys just to spare your loved one.
People are just interested in a good movie. Nobody has to be assholes about it just because they asked a question about whether or not it was real.
October 24th, 2008 at 8:30 pm
Son of a bitch yes I am here on the internet to see what happened but no true answers…. That sucks cause I wanted to know… I do agree with most that they had a mf shot gun bag people should have died! End of story….
October 25th, 2008 at 2:33 am
get a grip people, the movie is INSPIRED BY TRUE EVENTSSS. nottttt BASED ON A TRUE STORY. duh!
October 25th, 2008 at 8:21 am
OMG! This movie wan’t that scary. it was ok it had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I don’t think it really happened. There are to many murders in the world why don’t they makes movies about them. I guess it could of been real IDK. Well it got me alittle confused.
October 25th, 2008 at 9:57 am
tamara, go die in a hole, you sadistic freak
October 25th, 2008 at 2:40 pm
In the movie - the care has Pa plates. There is an 1801 Clark Road near Indiana Pa. If you look at the clothes on these killers, they could easily be mistaken for a bunch of hicks from western Pa.
October 25th, 2008 at 11:42 pm
Stella got her groove back!! This movie scared the kid straight out of my gosh darn girlfriends nose yall!!!
October 26th, 2008 at 3:17 am

hopefully they used a sham-wow to clean up the mess! chill people, it was only a movie…
October 26th, 2008 at 1:49 pm
This movie SUCKED! It was awful beyond belief and not even worth the $1 at the redbox I paid to rent it! I advice NO ONE to watch it!
October 26th, 2008 at 2:02 pm
This movie is NOT based on true events. Director Bertino stated in numerous interviews that he based the movie on break-ins in his neighborhood at empty houses and “Helter Skelter”. Also, if you will watch the credits it has a disclaimer that ALL characters and events are fictious.
October 26th, 2008 at 4:43 pm
of course this happened yall this is Arkansas we r talking about what else is there to do in ARKANSAS
October 26th, 2008 at 4:52 pm
Since this movie was garbage to all ur stranger haters what movie do u guys recommend for me to rent tonight? Stranger haters!!!

Very scary movie and the first thing I did was hit google and all of this…This is the kind of movie that makes be not want to be home alone, and Tamara seriously, are you wanting to be arrested?
October 27th, 2008 at 11:28 am
ANGIE HOW DO YOU KNOW THIS? CAN YOU BE MORE SPECIFIC AND CAN YOU GET MORE DETAILS ABOUT THIS CASE?
October 27th, 2008 at 11:33 am
ANGIE ARE YOU SURE THIS CASE WAS SCRUBBED? WHY DOES THE DIRECTOR SAY IT’S ABOUT STREET NAMES AND BREAK-INS IN HIS NEIGHBOURHOOD? WHAT ABOUT THE PEOPLE IN OTHER COTTAGES MUST KNOW THERE NAMES AND SOMETHING ABOUT THIS CASE CAN YOU GET MORE INFORMATION? WHO CAN STAIGTEN THIS OUT?
October 27th, 2008 at 12:13 pm
I watched the movie last night with my boyfriend. I liked the movie, but I dont believe in the whole “based on a true story”. Its a little far-fecthed. When I see the proof, then I will believe it. Besides, someone shouldnt make a movie based on that if it is true because that person doesnt know what really happened.
October 27th, 2008 at 4:31 pm
Serpico,
I’m sorry, there is no other information. The research was done when the movie first premiered in the US.
October 30th, 2008 at 8:11 pm
Seems to me if all the ones in the house died umm whose is left to tell what happend but the killers an since they got away im sure they didnt PHONE IN the murder an details for a movie so i guess the only thing that is based on TRUE EVENTS is the event that supposidly 3 people died. Other than that dont any one know anything else so the rest has to be made up .
October 31st, 2008 at 9:14 am
I THOUGHT KRISTEN MCKAY WAS STILL ALIVE.
November 1st, 2008 at 12:26 am
ok guys listen up this movie is based on real events and tamara are u really tryin to have the law come and get u for murder u shouldnt write stuff like that if its not true and if u really are the murder the guilt will stay with u 4 the rest of your life.. the producer of the movie said that it is INSPIRED on true events not that it is based on true events and the 911 call at the beginning of the movie is authentic those little boys really did go in there and find the grusem scene of 3 mutaled bodies ans the fact of the movie i9s there are sick ass people ion the world and they all need to know that the law will find u and u will get justice for what you did the law may noit be the best but it gets the job done and when there is a serial killer out there, they will find you and the hoyt and McKay family can sleep better knowing that u are behind bars!
November 1st, 2008 at 12:24 pm
WHO IS TAMARA AND WHAT DID SHE SAY?
November 1st, 2008 at 6:34 pm
the characters name was not Tamara… she was “asking for Tamara when she knocked on the door.
November 2nd, 2008 at 11:06 am
Like everyone else, I too was curious to know more about this story and what the truth is. The movie didn’t really scare me to much, but made me think about what sick people we could have amongst our society. If it is true they need to do everything possible to find these people that committed such a horrific crime. Also if it’s true may god bless the victims. However, if it’s not true then may god protect us and our loved ones from potential crimes such as these.
November 3rd, 2008 at 4:46 pm
Hey…there was no character in the Strangers movie named Tamara. That shady blonde girl asked if Tamara was home…duh! And ya this story was most likely based loosely on the Keddie Murders but that;s like it. So this is just another suspense scary story. With a weird ending….did she live or die? And people say that the characters names are real..but that’s hard to prove. And the whole mask thing and stuff….which was really creepy, ain’t never been on any news so………fiction is what it is…..AND Tamara as u call yourself…..that’s just really creepy..its not really disrespectful since it didn’t really happen most likely, but still u should go for therapy if u think that’s funny..or use that imagination for good use and write books…
November 3rd, 2008 at 6:58 pm
This movie sucked! But so did I when my husband came in the room!
November 8th, 2008 at 12:38 am
I wish they could have finished gettin it on before they got the shit stabbed out of em
November 11th, 2008 at 12:38 am
My wife and I just finished watching this movie. We thought it was ok, but both of us can’t understand why the husband ever left the house with the shotgun. If he wouldv’e just stayed in the house the killers wouldv’e had to come to him. If this movie is real, my condolences to the families.
November 11th, 2008 at 3:23 am
the friend was shot for getting caught wi the girlfriend. she then killed her boyfriend but was seriously injured in the struggle
November 12th, 2008 at 2:56 am
sooo funny…saw the movie, googled it…like so many of you fine people, i found nothing but a bunch of HILARIOUS forums and posts about ppl that exist, or dont exist, truth or fiction, ect ect…what cracks me up is that people get so animated about something we will truly know nothing about…EVER. I say leave it alone, because honestly…does it really frickin matter??? LOL…
November 12th, 2008 at 10:33 pm
Hey all I found the site that the strangers is based on

Ok here goes my thoughts — pretty good flic maybe a 7 outta 10. Many events were so predictable and left many questions. 1
1 How many times did James tell Kristen to stay in the house ALONE when he had a shotty and when he found his cell in the house duh it never walked in there by itself.
2 when his pal drove up and his window was smashed dont u think u would drive the fuck outta there and call the cops first.
3 When his bud came in the house any one with half a brain woulda turned off the music and yelled out there friends name
4 If shit was going on at the house i woulda took the shotty and my girl and either walked up the road or into the bushes and if anyone came anywhere near they would be blasted into next week.
Its really bad there isnt any good info on this murder on the net - kinda curious like many others guess thats how our twisted societys minds work.

‘Tamera”
At the end of the movie the little boy giving the pamphlets asks “are you a sinner” Did that really happen? Why would you put yourself out there? I know for a fact if you came to my house I would fight a hell of alot harder then thoes people did. So Tamera, are you a sinner?
Do the right thing, for everyone.

So……here I am on this website because I, like alot of others wanted to find out more after watching the movie. The director was probably counting on everybody going straight to the net to find out more. Since it is a fictional account I am just relieved. Albeit, this does happen, glad it was just a movie and nobody died!

omg i just want to know if the killers got caught..and the thing i dont like about the movie is the guy kept telling kristen to stay in the house…that is pretty stupid..they shouldnt have split up…maybe they would have both stayed alive
oh and did the girl live?? and at the beginning who was that calling the cops if kristen had no phone..???

The movie “The Strangers” as well as “V for Vendett” are both my favorite movies. The guy that killed the Hoyt family, Richard I believe his name is, said that the reason he killed them was because “they were home” grabbed my attention fast. It wasn’t because it was a typical scary movie but it was based on a true event, and the fact of the matter is he was a sycophant, yet a functional sycophant. To be honest I’d like to meet the guy that did this in real life (as long as something like, bars, would be between us).

The movie was stupid no real person would have made that many mistakes when there life was on the line.

this murders did happen…
it was a family who did this.
a mother a father and a daugther.
they invaded over 13 different homes,
the mother and father would be at both front and back entrances..
while the daughter would be running around the house banging on windows,
the movie is true, they changed named and dates to save the people/
the daughter is in a mental hospital , she is a 14 yr old girl. she will be in there until she is 30 yrs old. the mother and father are on death row.
