Hillary Rodham Clinton has been officially named as the secretary of state by the President Elect, Barack Obama. Robert Gates will remain as the Defense Secretary.

Marine Gen. James Jones will become the White House national security adviser, former Justice Department official Eric Holder is appointed attorney general, Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano as secretary of homeland security and Susan Rice becomes the ambassador to the United Nations.
