Hideki Matsui, a slugger with the New York Yankees, got married around March 2008. Hideki Matsui’s wife is of Japanese origin, like him. Matsui, 34, married his wife in New York. He preferred to keep her identity mysterious.

Matsui said he knew he met his wife when he felt she was the right one for him. Matsui married his wife on Wednesday, March 26, 2008. Matsui refused to name his new wife and showed only a drawing of her face at the press conference.

Matsui revealed his new wife’s age is 26 and she was formerly working in a highly respected firm in Japan. One small actual detail Matsui showed was his wedding ring, which was silver in color.

Matsui wanted to keep everything secretive so he refused to reveal the true identity of his wife.
