Why did Henry Allen fight Manuel Rorg-Franzia? Henry Allen got into a fist fight over name calling. Henry Allen was upset over a story submitted by his writer at the Washington Post. Allen said the story, written by Monica Hesse and Manuel Rorg-Franzia, was the second worst article he had read in his 43 year old career.

Manuel Roig-Franzia heard Henry Allen complain about the article and called him a “c -” word. Allen reacted by throwing him to the floor and started raining punches. The other staff in the newsroom then jumped in to break up the fight.
